Happy eight months Camryn Ilene!

That's two-thirds of the way through the year.  Geez.  Here are some cute eight month pics, as well as a few more from the weekend that I just had to share with you all.

Pics 4-6: I call this montage, "Camryn tastes lemon for the first time".

Pic 7: And I call this one, "Camryn decides she actually loves lemon and is upset when Mommy takes it away".

Aaaaahhhhhhhhh.......

That was the sound of me falling into the comfy couch in my comfy sweats with my comfy husband after a long but fun weekend in Seattle.  But I digress, let's start at the beginning of the week:

Pic 1: On Tuesday Megan and Molly came over to Portland for a visit.  We had fun playing and snacking and I gave her free crawling lessons.

Pic 2: On Wednesday, Nana and Grandpa Jewell came for a visit.  Nana loves reading me stories.

Pic 3: Nana LOVES dancing with me too.  She taught me to shake my hips.

Pic 4: On Wednesday night Auntie Lizzy came over and we all walked to the park for a picnic dinner during the summer concert in the park.  Daddy and I wrestled in the grass.

Pic 5: Bubble bath to remove the grass stains.

Pic 6: Friday we went to Seattle and I saw Auntie Lynny and FINALLY met Brent!  He's a nice guy!

Pic 7: We all went to the Mariner's game.  It was a little scary but exciting!  Ichiro hit a triple or something like that.  I wanted a hot dog but Mom said no way.  Next time I'll ask Ichiro.

Pic 8: Mom bought me this awesome Mariner's hat.  I love it.

Pic 9: I love my new hat so much I didn't take it off once we got back to the hotel room after the game.  More milk please!

Pic 10: Saturday morning we walked to the famous Pike Place Market.

Pic 11: It's sooooo crowded here!

Pics 12 and 13: Delicious fruits and fall flowers at the market.

Pic 14: Beautiful fall Seattle day on the water.

Pic 15: Who is the weirdest???  I think Mommy.  I still want a hot dog.

Pic 16: Ryn meets Butch the Cougar at the WSU store at Westlake Center in Seattle.

Pic 17: Finally the event we had all been waiting for!  Auntie Lynsey aka "Hebrew Hammer" of the San Diego Hard Corps Roller Derby team.  She even intimidated me!

Pic 18: Ready for the bout!

Pic 19: Put me down mom, I just want to crawl!  Better yet, give me some skates, I just want to derby!

Pic 20: The Hammer found herself in the penalty box a few times.  Seriously great defense!

Pic 21: The Hammer ready to hit the track!

Pic 22: I was falling apart at the end of the bout.  I really really just missed my Daddy, since he couldn't come to Seattle with us.  He had some important business to attend to.  Something about a fantasy draft?  Daddy, does that have to do with cartoons???

Pic 23: And finally, at the end of a long but exciting weekend, it just feels good to pass out.
In my new hat.

A visit from Grandma, Grandpa and Auntie Kacy

We got to spend and ENTIRE week with Grandma Kerry, Grandpa Jerry and Auntie Kacy last week!  We had so much fun playing.  Note to self: always remember to take pictures of the cameraman AKA Grandma Kerry.  I promise, she was here too!  They will be back in a few weeks and ALL the pics will be of her, I promise.

Pic 1: Shopping with Auntie K.  Please Auntie, do they have those red heels in a size 2?

Pic 2: We went and hung out at Munchkin Playland, my favorite spot.  Grandpa loved it too.

Pic 3: My pal Grandpa and I.

Pic 4: Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Pic 5: Now pick out your cupcake Grandpa and hand over the tray.

Pic 6: Notice my new baby gate from Grandma and Grandpa?  Super fun to climb on.

Pic 7: Our family.

Pic 8: So I caught this shot yesterday...I looked up and her pants had fallen down.  Silly girl.  Still playing with her pants down.

And a fantastic video courtesy of Grandma Kerry.  "Grandpa, give me those puffs!"

Weekly update.

So I guess the format of this blog has changed.  Evolved if you will.  Since starting work I have not decreased the amount of pics I take of Ryn's daily life, I have simply stopped compiling it all daily.  I truly do apologize to those of you who look forward to a daily update; trust me when I say that my mom gives me enough flak for everyone!  But here are some pics from last week.

Pic 1: Daddy is so excited to read me a story!

Pic 2: I went to Olive Garden on Friday.  Mom thinks my hair is long enough for clips now.  I look silly.

Pic 3: I totally inherited my mom's eating habits.  No no, the messiness is inherited from Daddy...I was referring to my love of tomatoes.

Pic 4: More climbing in my pink chair.  I'm almost ready for Everest.  Or maybe Chilton.

Pic 5: We went to Lainnie's first birthday party/Jodi's 30th birthday party.  I wore my party dress and another clip.  The clip lasted about two minutes as you will see.

Pic 6: The birthday girls!

Pic 7: Lainnie has this super fun Mickey Mouse airplane scooter.  I LOVED when Daddy pushed me around and around.  I even let go and went no-handed!  The crazier the better.

Pic 8: Love this man.

Pic 9: Love when this man dangles me upside down.

Pic 10: Yeah, um mom, can you grab me a beer please?  And some chips?

Pic 11: The girls.

Where did my baby go?

This week I've come to terms with the reality that Camryn is no longer a little baby.  She is more like a toddler, with her constant activity and even more frequent crashes to the floor.  We had a busy few days!  On Friday we went to the library for a baby music class.  Ryn loved shaking the maracas and jingling the bells.  It was 45 minutes of dancing, spinning, crawling and fun!  Nevermind the fact that the teacher, albeit an adorable little old lady in every sense of the cliche, was a little on the "hard of hearing" side.  She lead a fine tune nevertheless!  Then we headed to this wonderful place called Munchkin Playland in Beaverton.  Basically, it's a large coffee shop (for the sleep-deprived moms) attached to a clean, smooshy play structure (for the wobbly wee-ones).  Camryn had a blast crawling around, pulling herself up on the plastic salmon and red sailboat and scooting along the huge oak tree.  She even climbed UP the slide.  Yes, you read that correctly.  My child is determined.

Pic 1, 2: Grandma and Grandpa came to visit while Mommy and Daddy went to Bend for the weekend.  We had SO MUCH FUN!!!

Pic 3, 4: So the Whale Tub has been laid to rest.  Camryn decided (mid-bath, mind you) that she was done with the baby tub and promptly crawled out.  A fun new space to explore!

Pic 5: Munchkin Playland, in the red boat with Kayleigh.

Pic 6: Fun mirrors at the Playland!

Pic 7: Interesting sand wheel at the Playland.  Lana and I love spinning it!

Pic 8: Can you tell Mommy has had her coffee?!?  Munchkin Playland thinks of EVERYTHING!

Video 1: Time to baby-proof the tub for Miss "Michelle Phelps" aka Rynnie.

Video 2: Oskar came over for a playdate today.  He can't crawl with me yet so I bounced him in the jumperoo!  I think I freaked him out.
