Happy seven months Camryn Ilene!

Today she turned seven months.  Time is really flying by!

Making music.

Another busy day in the life of Camryn Ilene.  Today was a fun playdate at her friend August's house (11 months).  Her other friend Wren (not be confused with Ryn) (6 months) came along also.  August had so many fun toys to explore.  Today we learned that boys play rough.  He was 100% little man the way he attacked her WWF style.  It was hilarious when Rynnie pulled his hair.  Typical girl.  We all laughed just thinking that this boy/girl behavior would continue for a long, long time.

Pic 1:  Last night was the first time she actually (kinda) held still for a story.  She was very curious.

Pic 2: Yes, stories are fun even when you don't eat the pages.

Pic 3: From left, Wren, Ryn and August (the dude).

Pic 4: Best. Toy. Ever.  It was a wooden piano that actually worked.  I think it was this.  She LOVED banging on it.  Little musician in the making.

Pic 5: Giddy up horsey!

No holding back.

Our little tiny baby girl is all grown up.  With three teeth and a perfected crawl, she's gone from zero to 200,000 miles an hour overnight.  And she greeted me by standing in her crib demanding milk the other morning. That 95th percentile belly is not slowing her down one bit; in fact it's more fuel for getting from one corner of the room to the other/porch/up on top of her pink chair/down the hall/to the Playstation/to her new toy du jour, the miniblinds/under the bookcase.

Pic 1: Mom calls this my "sunscreen hair".

Pic 2: 11:00 last night.  Outside on the porch.  Please go to sleep Little One.  Mommy and Daddy are EXHAUSTED.  Please stop exploring and take a break.  You can discover the world some more tomorrow.

Pic 3: Pulling up to a stand.  Not quite sure what to do once she gets there.  Except grin.

Pic 4: Hello Mom.  Milk now.

Summer picnic and other stuff from the week.

Today we enjoyed a summer picnic with our friends from Kevin's softball team.  There were burgers, brats, bugs, beers, babies and a kiddie pool.  Little miss Ryn played hard, then crashed mid-party.  Here are some other pics from our week as well.

Oooooh Daddy this is freezing!

Starting to climb all over anything in her path.

She's a crawling fool!

All of this activity knocks her out!  Snuggles with Bun Bun and Russ.

Girls day out.

The other day I was checking out some pics on facebook.  Kevin asked me, "Who is that?".  I told him it was "Camryn's friend".  He thought that was hilarious and impossible.  But yes, she does indeed have friends and today was the perfect day for a playdate with "the girls".

Pic 1: From left, Kayleigh, Lana, Nora and Rynnie.

Pic 2: It was like piranhas on a feeding frenzy when Trista produced a can of puffs.  You'd think they were foraging for winter or something.

A new thrill.

Our first trip to the park.  Think she liked it?  Little thrill seeker.

Busy weekend.

What a fun weekend we had in Aberdeen!  It was wonderful to catch up with Grandma Kerry, Grandpa Jerry, Auntie Kacy, Auntie Stacy, Grandma Bonnie and Grandpa Jerry #2.  Who needs planned activities when you have a Camryn circus?

Pic 1: My new friend Acelyn (8 months) and her Grandma Cheryl.

Pic 2: Grandma is such a comfy place for a snooze.

Pic 3: So many toys!

Pic 4: What does this silly toy do?

Pic 5: I LOVE my Grandpa Jerry.  We have the same eyes.

Pic 6: Check out all of her hair!  Pic taken by Grandma Kerry.

Pic 7: Eating carrots without a high chair is just a minor challenge.  Keeping it off of furniture/carpet/hair is a major challenge.

Pic 8: Auntie Kacy's long hair is a super fun toy.

Pic 9: My fellow Ginger gal, Grandma Bonnie.  Pic taken by Grandma Kerry.

Pic 10: Hey in there!  Pic taken by Grandma Kerry.

Video 1: Attack of Grandma Kerry!

Video 2: The grand finale.  No joke, I caught her first crawl on video.  Really.

Heat wave!

Pic 1: Midweek it was SO hot, I let her fall asleep anywhere she could get comfortable.

Pic 2: Sitting in front of the fan to keep cool.

Pic 3: This feels great!

Pic 4: This afternoon at Daddy's softball double header.  Like the flowers in my hair?

Growing up by the second.

Pic 1: Now that I have two teeth, Mommy and Daddy make me brush them with my Pooh toothbrush every night before bed.

Pic 2: So I left her alone to fill the tub with cool water last night for her evening bath.  Seconds later, when I returned to her room, here is what I found.  I seriously thought Kevin did it as a joke, but realized that he would never leave her alone like this.  Hehehe.  Looks a little proud of herself, huh?  I think she scooted to this standing position.

Happy Birthday Auntie Kacy!

Happy Happy Birthday Auntie Kacy!  We can't wait to celebrate with you next weekend!  Today we celebrated for you with a trip to Lost Lake, at the foot of Mt. Hood.  We went up for the day with Auntie Liz and cousins Owen and Fiona.  Also, 13 year old Nick (nephew of Liz's friend) accompanied us.  It was a gorgeous, albeit sizzling summer day, with record-breaking temperatures over 100.  Check out how we cooled off.

Pic 1: Owen getting ready to test the frigid lake.

Pic 2: Liz and Fiona chillin.

3. Ryn chillin.

Pic 4. Ahhhh, summer.

Hello summer, so nice to FINALLY meet you, and, my husband is a GENIUS!

First, my husband is a GENIUS.  His idea to put the high chair tray on with Camryn's hands on her lap, thus preventing a ginormous mess of pureed projectiles rivals those of Edison, da Vinci, and George Foreman.  And it's so cute to watch her sit there all quiet, opening her mouth like a little bird waiting for the spoon.  Like this:

Brilliant!  And speaking of brilliant, today we enjoyed the SUN!  Had almost forgotten what that felt like.  Auntie Lizzy brough cousins Owen and Fiona over for an afternoon dip in the pool and a barbeque.  Tons of fun and a necessary method of cooling off in this 90 degree weather (with no AC in the apartment, of course).

Pic 2: Got my sunscreen on, just waiting to hit the water!

Pic 3: Fiona and Rynnie enjoying the water.  Awesome bee floaty from Grandma Kerry!  Doubles as a teether toy when nomming the eyes...

Pic 4: The gang.

Pic 5: Love my Auntie Lizzy!

Pic 6: Owen reading a story to Ryn.  Fiona restraining her from eating the pages.  Doesn't this just melt your heart?
