Sorry for the delay!

So sorry I haven't posted since Sunday! This week I went back to work. I spent the week doing typical hospital orientation activities such as learning about the history of the hospital, deciphering their specific computer charting systems, and listening to various Human Resources presentations. Here is where I will be working. Here is more specifically where I will be working, though sometimes I will float to all units in the hospital.  I am excited to get back into actual nursing work next week; more on that to follow.

Ryn has been a BUSY girl while I have been away. Busy and lucky! First, she spent Monday and Tuesday hanging out with Grandma Kerry. Then Nana Ronda took over the babysitting duties on Wednesday. I am eternally grateful for both of their help!!! Ryn's cousins (that she saw last weekend in Newport) are still here so she got to play with them a lot this week too. This makes for one exhausted baby come nine at night. I thought she might actually fall asleep in her bath last night! Here are a few pics.

Pic 1: Hanging out with my cousins (from left) Zaiah, Kai, Owen and Fiona.  I really really want some of Owen's sour candies!

Pic 2: Owen and I have the same hair color!  Ginger babies unite.

Newport Beach (Oregon) for the weekend!

We just got back from a fabulous weekend in Newport Beach. We WILL be going back because it was the perfect place for adults and kids. We met up with my Mom (Nana) and Jewell (Papa) (we were celebrating his 69th birthday!), and his kids Liz, Jenny and Andy. Jenny brought along her children Owen and Fiona, and joining Andy was his wife Justina and their children Kai and Zaiah. Liz's friends Mitch and Melissa brought along their two young daughters as well. Add Kevin, Kat and Ryn to that mix and you have a huge celebration! Tons of pics in this post. Enjoy!

Girl on a mission!

All of the sudden, Camryn has mastered the skill of rolling with a purpose.  Across the floor.  To grab lost Wheat Thins crumbs and dust bunnies.  I keep telling her that dust bunnies are not cuddly like Bun Bun, but she's serious about this rolling business.  Rolling with a purpose is kind of like crawling except you get stuck sometimes.  Here are some action shots.

Pic 1: Here I am starting out on the blanket.

Pic 2: I am wearing my pink sweat band because A) I don't want to work up a sweat while rolling, and B) I am watching the NBA playoff game.

Pic 3: Now I am on my back.

Pic 4: And now I am stuck.

Pic 5: Um Dad, a little help here please.

And a few outtake shots.  Because the flash often startles her and this eyes-closed grin cracks me up.

And finally, when you are totally spent from rolling the day away, it takes WAY too much energy to keep your eyes open while finishing a bottle.  This baby stuff is tough.

Happy Birthday Grandma and Grandpa!

Two birthdays in the family today! Too bad they live far away and we don't get to eat twice the cake. Ryn wanted to celebrate though.

Pic 1: Happy Birthday Grandma Kerry.  Sure look good for 39!

Pic 2: Happy Birthday Grandpa Jewell!  Sure look good for 69, er, um, I mean 19!

And P.S., in case you missed it, check out the post I made late last night.  Silliest picture ever.

Play hard!

We played the day away today. First, a trip to Costco, complete with a ride in the cart. And even though I managed to bring Kevin's truck instead of my rollerskate, I walked away with just a box of diapers and some formula. No giant trampolines or life jackets or a 2000 count package of Oreos. This time. After Costco, we went to our Tuesday afternoon playgroup for a quick lunch. Here is Ryn testing out Kayleigh's new princess chair. I think she likes it?

Then the playgroup was off to the community pool with mommy Jodi and baby Lainnie, mommy Crystal and baby Kayleigh, mommy Trista and baby Norah and mommy Amy and baby Lana.  Yes, all girls.  Ten of us.  Ryn was literally shrieking with excitement the entire time in the pool.  This girl loves her water.  She rocked the pink bikini with confidence (even with the big belly) and taught those four other babies how to kick and dunk without being scared.  Though we were not able to get a big group shot in the pool, here are a few pics.

Pic 1: Lainnie and Ryn before the pool.  Note the continuous tongue protrusion from Ryn and the diaper bag sneak attack from Lainnie.  What?  Nothing going on here mom.

Pic 2: After the pool.  Literally like two minutes before Ryn "Michelle Phelps" Schjei passed out.
